Recipes
The tutorial teaches one idea per chapter. Build a todo API builds one application end to end. These are the third thing: a feature you drop into an application you already have, finished, in one sitting.
Each one is complete code, not fragments, and each says what it does not handle.

What they assume
Section titled “What they assume”An app that boots — the installation guide or
bun create theoven my-app gets you there. Where a recipe needs a database it assumes the SQLite
default, and says what changes for Postgres.
The code runs
Section titled “The code runs”Every snippet is copied from something that was built and executed while the page was written, including the failures each recipe claims to produce. If one does not work for you, it is a bug in Oven or in these instructions.
